R&S NRP-Z86 wideband power sensors 50 MHz-40 GHz


The Rohde&Schwarz NRP-Z86 is a broadband power meter probe that can be directly connected to a PC via a USB interface and measures frequencies ranging from 50 MHz to 40 GHz.

The R&S NRP-Z86 probe has a video bandwidth of 30 MHz and a sampling rate of 80 MHz, making it an ideal choice for analyzing the temporal characteristics of modulation signals. The index of pulse rise time less than 13 ns can easily measure the waveform of common pulses. It can measure the peak and average power values of the signal within a set time interval, and also perform statistical characteristic analysis on the signal (CCDF, PDF). For continuous average measurement, the measurement uncertainty of this product at 40 GHz is only 0.18 dB, which provides far superior accuracy compared to other broadband power probes. The outstanding performance of these two new products has also set a benchmark in the market for peak power measurement.

This efficient and economical solution can display envelope power within a dynamic range of -47 dBm to+20 dBm. In addition, the probe also provides high-resolution pulse analysis function. At the same time, R&S NRP-Z85 and R&S NRP-Z86 also provide high-precision continuous average measurements within the entire measurement dynamic range of -60 dBm to+20 dBm. These features ensure that the product plays an ideal role in the development, maintenance, and design of microwave and radar systems, as well as in the production of microwave devices.

This power probe can be connected to a PC through a USB adapter R&S NRP Z4 or used in combination with the power meter host R&S NRP/NRP2. In fact, it can also be connected to all signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers of R&S companies, and users can directly read the power measurement values of DUT through the signal generator or analyzer. The complete measurement solution consisting of power probe R&S NRP-Z85+NRP-Z86 and USB adapter R&S NRP Z4 has great cost-effectiveness advantages compared to the traditional combination of power probe and power meter.
