Thai Clone launches hybrid domain oscilloscope again

Tech recently launched a rare hybrid domain oscilloscope in the world. You can capture time related analog signals, digital signals, and RF signals to gain a comprehensive understanding of the characteristics of the device under test at the system level. You can see both time-domain and frequency-domain signals at a glance, observe the RF spectrum at any point in time, and see how the spectrum changes over time or with device state. You can use one instrument to quickly and efficiently solve more complex design problems.

MDO4000 adopts the same design platform as the industry standard MSO4000. You can now use one instrument to simultaneously view both time-domain and frequency-domain signals without having to search for and learn about a spectrum analyzer. However, the powerful capabilities of MDO go far beyond simply observing the frequency domain like a spectrum analyzer. Its true strength lies in its ability to correlate events in the frequency domain with the temporal phenomena that cause them.

When the RF channel and any analog or digital channel are started simultaneously, the oscilloscope screen will be divided into two views. The upper part of the screen is the traditional oscilloscope display in the time domain, and the lower part of the screen is the frequency domain display of the RF input. Note that frequency domain display is not simply FFT of analog or digital channels in the instrument, but rather the spectrum collected from RF input. The frequency spectrum displayed in the frequency domain window comes from the time period indicated by the short orange bar in the time domain view, which is called the spectrum analysis time. In the MDO4000 series, spectrum analysis time can be moved in the collected data to investigate how the RF spectrum changes over time. This operation can be performed while the instrument is running in real-time or when the acquisition is stopped.
